This Purple Short Maori Korowai is perfect for over top of other garments that you don't want hidden, as would happen with a full korowai.

This korowai, or kahu huruhuru to be exact, is made by a Maori lady of Ngati Porou descent.   She learned the art of making korowai from a Northland kuia.

It has a Purple, Black and White knitted taniko top, with purple feathers below.  The purple feathers have a jade tinge as well.

If you want different coloured feathers, let us know.  You can choose different coloured feathers here.

The taniko has a patiki design, which spiritually means abundance, prosperity, and care of others.

This korowai measures approximately 1m wide, and 20cm (8') deep.  It is lined with black fabric.
